Of DAZzling and POSErs
There seem to be many sites and programs around for taking pre-rendered, pre-built 3D objects and arranging them for use in either snapshots, scenes or animations.
3D POSE or Poser is one such program I have heard of:

Many pre-made models on these services are pay-per item, which makes for a great business model but there are some freebies available too. Perhaps some content can be borrowed and learned from here? Who knows.

The quality of content on offer is remarkably high so it is understandable why many people will opt to pay for these services/software/solutions rather than having to bother learning how to make their own models. Certainly a good legal option for casual interests.
